EPW - Jules Jurgensen, Copenhagen, half-chronometer, 49mm, 18K rose gold original HC with signed gold cuvette in addition to glazed observation cover, Jurgensen lips, SW bow-set, WE-SSD, fully capped lever escapement, gold regulator pointer, 20J, GJS, fausses-cĂ´tes NI damascene, s#14468, in original box with matching stenciled number on bottom, instruction card for use of bow-setting, and most importantly, the signed certification card specifying the watch as half-chronometer, together with rating tests on back judged relative to astronomical mean time in four positions with resultant daily rates, and test of average heat and cold temperature compensation. The box has concealed space containing spare crystal and mainspring beneath repair label from Pittsburgh, Pa. Gross weight of assembled watch 70.2 dwt (109.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, excellent mvt condition overall, some patchy plate tarnish, near mint settings, no oxide; dial appears perfect, with invisible line between center and seconds and short scratch just to the left; hands mint; front cover lift-spring only carries to about 60 degrees; case shows little wear, some MFS and scuffs, no dents or dings; bow tight, setting function ideal, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal; box has had both chambers used to store the watch, while the spare parts chamber is not to be used nor cut for the pendant; box is otherwise in largely near mint finish with excellent interior, cards yellowed with edge splits.
